    As far as i know, 'Mahatma' is not a name, but a title conferred on certain people.

  5. 'Mr. Sampath – The Printer of Malgudi' is a novel written by R. K. Narayan.

  6. The novel was adapted into a Hindi film 'Mr. Sampat', released in 1952.

    The film starred one of my favourite actors Motilal saab in the main lead.

    The novel 'Mr. Sampath' was also made into a Tamil film, 'Miss Malini', starring Pushpavalli, Kothamangalam Subbu and Gemini Ganesan.

    This film was Produced under the famous 'Gemini Studios' banner.

    No print of the film is known to exist today, making it a lost film.
