'X' learned Urdu from Meena Kumari. He and Sanjeev Kumar practiced the most difficult scenes for perfection and variety. 'X' even took lessons of film editing from Hrishikesh Mukherjee.

After completing the shooting of 'Sholay', 'X' spoke to the Production Manager to seek permission from Mr. Ramesh Sippy, to stay back at the location, as he wanted to learn something about Direction.

When Mr. Ramesh Sippy knew about his desire, he allowed 'X' to remain on the sets. 'X' used to sit on the floor behind the camera and closely observe all the shots.

Watching X's dedication, Mr. Ramesh Sippy made him his Assistant and also handed over the responsibility of the second unit of the film, which was managed till then by Amjad Khan at another location.

'X' sincerely worked there with Amjad Khan. After the film's completion, Mr. Sippy expressed his happiness over some of the scenes picturised by the unit.

The few scenes, where the train is in motion and finally hits the collection of logs, were shot under X's supervision.

Identify 'X'.
